Big Joe - The Gentle Giant
Big Joe is the powerhouse of our herd, weighing in at well over a ton yet carrying himself with calm strength. He’s about nine years old, born around 2015, though his exact genetics are unknown — we purchased him from previous owners who weren’t sure of his background. Despite that mystery, Big Joe has proven himself time and again as a reliable sire, consistently passing on desirable traits of size, resilience, and docility. His calves grow quickly and carry his massive frame, making him a cornerstone of our program. Guests who see him in person quickly understand why he’s the face of Cross Timbers Bison — a true gentle giant of the prairie.

Dunbar - The Wild Spirit
Born in 2017 and brought to our ranch in the spring of 2018, Dunbar carries the strong genetics of Canadian River Bison, bred by Doc Gerald Parsons out of Stratford, Oklahoma. Rugged, bold, and full of personality, Dunbar represents the grit and toughness of the open plains. His calves are hardy and adaptable, thriving in diverse conditions and adding vitality to the herd. Dunbar’s striking presence sets him apart, and his bloodline ensures strength and genetic diversity for generations to come.
